What we cover

How we choose products
From published specifications, certifications by standard number and claim, and the consensus of verified owner reviews. We do not test equipment in person and we never claim to, so we do not accept review samples on the basis that a sample buys a favorable write up.
What we will not do
- Claim a product makes water safe to drink. That is a laboratory result, not a product property.
- Write "NSF certified" without naming the standard and the specific claim.
- Present a marketing figure as a published specification, or fill a missing spec with an estimate.
- Recommend equipment for a contaminant a reader has not measured.
- Describe a salt free conditioner as a softener, or imply a shower filter reduces hardness.
Those are not negotiable, and they are the reason the site is worth partnering with rather than an obstacle to it.
